Before or after your show, explore the grounds to get to know the history of our buildings and more about the local Underground Railroad at organizational booths from sites like John Brown House (Summit County Historical Society) featuring resources and activities.
Show times: 10:00am, 11:15am, 12:45pm, 2:00pm, 3:15pm (approximately 45 minutes). NOTE that the 12:45pm performance is an accessibility show and will be presented from the farmhouse porch. All other performances are interactive walking shows through the grounds. Comfortable shoes and clothing should be considered for walking a wooded trail.
NEW for 2023 includes two programs at 11am and 1pm on Sojourner Truth by first person reenactor Robin Echols Cooper of Women in History Ohio. Sojourner Truth was an American abolitionist and women's rights activist who escaped slavery with her infant child in 1826. She attended the 1851 women's rights convention in Akron, where she is recognized for giving her "And Ain't I A Woman" speech. This program is included with ticket admission and made possible by Visit Canton and Arts in Stark.
