Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention utilizes Tai Chi’s Sun Style for its ability to improve relaxation, balance, and ease of use. Slow movements work to improve mental and physical balance.
When practiced daily, this program has been shown to decrease arthritis pain, prevent falls, increase flexibility, and improve overall focus. This program can ben done seated or standing and is suitable for all ages. Developed by Dr. Paul Lam at the Tai Chi for Health Institute.
This program will go on for 16 weeks. Attendees who attend the entire series will participate in an assessment. If there is room, patrons can join any class, but will not participate in the assessment. This program will be hosted by Holly Bandy using a grant through Ohio State Extension Services.
