Pokémon Masters

Saturday, February 17 - 10:00 AM

Pokémon fans, unite! Bring your Pokémon cards, talk about your favorite Pokémon, and get introduced to some Pokémon books!

Children will get a chance to meet one another and discuss all things related to Pokémon. They will also play the trading card game together. This game requires critical thinking and some math skills. This gives them an opportunity to socialize over a mutual interest and meet new friends. There will also be some Pokémon book marks available for children to color in, as well as blank paper with pencils so children can “create their own Pokémon.” Or perhaps they'll create a "fusion" between two of their favorite Pokémon. This invites them space to exercise their creativity and critical thinking skills. In the meeting room, all Pokémon related materials will be displayed. As this program continues, I will also make “badges” that they can win by accomplishing certain tasks, such as winning 20 times or trading 100 cards.
