Children are invited to come to the library and read to a furry listener!
The concept is simple: children read to therapy dogs and dogs listen. Learning to read can be stressful but dogs don't mind if a reader stumbles over a word. Dogs just gaze adoringly as they are read to, helping readers gain confidence and skill in a relaxed atmosphere.
Participants can also borrow some library books and enjoy coloring and activity sheets.
