Offender Re-Entry: Overcoming Barriers

Coming Together Stark County’s fourth annual Diversity & Inclusion Conference on Fri., April 12 is co-sponsored by the Stark County Court of Common Pleas, Goodwill Industries of NE Ohio, and Stark State College. The day-long event will take place in the college’s Silk Auditorium, beginning at 8 a.m. and will feature a panel discussion by people experiencing re-entry, and presentations by the Legal Aid Society, the Director of Re-entry for the Stark County Common Pleas Court, the Director of Cuyahoga County Office of Re-entry, housing specialists, health-care specialists, and an author who has written several books about re-entry challenges.

This conference is appropriate for attorneys, churches, social workers, parole officers, employers, teachers, health care professionals, court and law enforcement personnel, foundations, and families of incarcerated individuals. CLEs have been approved by the Ohio Supreme Court, and CEUs are pending.  Registration is available at www.comingtogetherstarkcounty.org or by calling 330-454-5880.
