From Abigail Adam’s raising a future president to Mary Lincoln dealing with the loss of a child, First Ladies have experienced extreme highs and lows. How did young mothers like Jackie Kennedy and Frances Cleveland raised children at peak popularity? How have First Ladies like Michelle Obama and Barbara Bush transformed their children’s struggles into key social causes? Join staff from the National First Ladies’ Library for an exploration of First Ladies as mothers.
