Domestic Violence Project, Inc, in partnership with Stark Library and Take Back the Night Committee, present Fox 8 news anchor and author, Jazmin Bailey.

She's smart, she's funny and she's real. Known to most as an Emmy Award-winning news anchor, Jazmin Bailey is also an Amazon top-selling author and a dynamic public speaker. In her first book, The Woman With The Oil, Jazmin catapults readers into vivid scenes from her abusive marriage, experienced as the rising star struggled to balance a toxic home life with the demands of the TV news business. The events are sure to make you cry, laugh or drop your jaw.

In March of 2021, Jazmin joined FOX 8 News as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. She is truly one of Cleveland's Own and grew up on the city's westside. Before returning to Ohio, Jazmin spent nearly eight years working as a news anchor in Orlando, Florida. Her work there was not only recognized with an Emmy but most recently, a 2021 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award, one of the highest honors in news.

While Jazmin is passionate about telling stories in her community, she has also found purpose in sharing her own story. Today, Jazmin uses her memoir to educate others about the cycle of abuse and to, hopefully, prevent someone else from experiencing intimate partner violence.
