Part 2 of a 3 part beginners gardening series presented by StarkFresh, in conjunction with the Canton Parks and Rec.
This standalone program will feature 10 separate classes over a three-hour time span. Each class will be 30 minutes each. There will be a 5-minute break in between classes.
There will be two separate learning tracks. The Beginning tracks will feature classes on: • Container gardening • How to get started with a small home garden • Composting Basics • Mushroom log growing • Garden planning and planting design
The intermediate track will feature classes on: • Mushroom straw bale cultivation • Companion planting for greater garden success • Bugs, Diseases and how to combat them in your garden • No/Low till gardening techniques • Pollinator Habitat creation for a healthy garden
You can choose to attend 5 classes or just one, the power to pick and choose what you want to learn is completely up to you!
In addition to the classes, there will be a few vendor tables where you can pick up some information as well as supplies for your garden.
There will be light refreshments and snacks available for purchase.
