This is the story of five African-Americans who chose to join the messianic army of John Brown to incite slave insurrection on Harper's Ferry in October 1859.  This program will tell you how they arrived at the decision to join John Brown and their fates in the hands of this messianic leader. The event will be presented by local historian, Paul Goebbel.
