Daniel Boone

Monday, November 18 - 6:30 PM

Hosted by Spring Hill Historic Home and Massillon Public Library

Join us at the library as Ken Hammontree portrays Daniel Boone in first person. His Indian name was “Sheltowee” (Big Turtle) and he was known to the various tribes throughout the area as the long hunter or long rifle. Boone was one of the first real heroes on the wilderness frontier, as well as one of the founding fathers of the state of Kentucky. In 1799, he moved his family to Missouri due to the increasing population of Kentucky.

Spring Hill's Fall Speaker Series is always free and open to the public.
