As fall migration of birds intensifies and reports by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service of the extinction of 23 birds & other species grab headlines, the Canton Audubon Society is sponsoring accessible birding field trips to attract new and experienced nature lovers of all ages and abilities. One field trip will take place along the shaded, west section of the rubberized loop trail at the Stadium Park Trail near the Canton Garden Center, 1615 Stadium Park Dr NW.
Meet outing leaders on Saturday, Oct 23 at 9 a.m., near the Pickleball Court (northern most parking lot on Stadium Park Dr., accessible from Fulton Road or Harrison Ave NW). The outing site features a flat rubberized surface, with portable accessible toilets and an accessible restroom, and nearby parking. SARTA Route 117 will get you close to the Stadium Park Trail field trip. A few binoculars and field guides will be available on loan, but participants can enjoy the outing without them, or may bring their own. Canton Audubon Society newsletters will be available.
