Butterfly In the Sky

Thursday, May 23 - 5:30 PM

Witness the fascinating life cycle of Painted Lady butterflies from caterpillar to chrysalis, culminating in the captivating release of these beautiful creatures into the wild.

During the first session (May 2nd), children will learn about the process of metamorphosis, how Painted Lady butterflies fit into the ecosystem, their predators, their habitats, the importance of butterflies in our ecosystem, their migration pattern, and the important role they play in pollination. They will also watch the life cycle of these butterflies happen passively over the course of three weeks.

Then, during the second meeting (May 23rd), children will release the butterflies into the world.
