Big Read Book Discussion

Thursday, April 4 - 6:00 PM

This month we will be discussing the Big Read 2019 title, Burning Bright by Ron Rash. Also Trevor Householder, education programmer from Stark Parks will speak about the Magnolia Flouring Mills.

Trevor Householder, an educational instructor from Stark Parks, will share how the iconic five-story Magnolia Flouring Mills has preserved the history of the small town, agricultural communities of Appalachia. Built-in 1834 by Richard Elson along with the route of the Sandy & Beaver Canal, the Magnolia Flouring Mills remained in the Elson family for 171 years before being acquired by the Stark County Park District in 2005.
