The Malone University Wellness Council will host the fifth annual Jack Hazen Open 5K Run and Pump & Run on Saturday, April 14,on the home turf of the Pioneer cross country teams. Participants will be grouped according to age: from 14-and-under through 70-and-over. Participants may compete in the 5K run only, or combine a bench press (the pump) and a 5-K (the run). Runners will earn a deduction from their race time relative to the amount of repetitions they were able to pump. The pump begins at 7 a.m.; the run begins at 9:15 a.m.
